![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() In my experience, random merc units are generally by "faction" and will normally be found in their faction's territory. In my experience, that is the truth, and when I played ACOK, it was harder to find random Merc units than, for instance, in vanilla Warband.įrom this thread,, I see that the Sellsword Halbardiers are primarily an "Essos" unit. But, if they did not, then random merc units will be scarcer. So, they may have included more spawn points in these scenes, to accomodate their much larger, compared to Warband, list of special NPCs and the like. Most of the tavern scenes are custom, in ACOK, from what I can remember. If you have a great many special NPCs that either must spawn or are more likely to spawn at any given time, you'll have less space for random NPCs to spawn, like mercenaries. ![]() Normally, in any scene, like a Tavern or the hall of a castle, there are a limited number of spawn points. However, with so many NPCs and so many named Mercenary Companies running around, as well as quest NPCs and the like, it might be difficult for random mercs to spawn in Taverns. I find it hard to main bow at the beginning of the game when its weak and your other skills suck just as bad. I'm not sure about that specific unit, but you'll find mercenaries for hire in Taverns, just like in vanilla Warband. Maining a bow works better later in the game when you have a giant army and so the enemy isnt so focused on killing you. ![]()
